LA is a hotbed of activity for people working in all areas of sustainability. It’s something that I come into contact with regularly with my work but regular updates on what’s happening in the City is often hard to come by.

A working group in downtown LA for sustainability (aptly called the Sustainability Committee of Downtown Los Angelesis putting grants together and energizing the downtown community around sustainability goals.
Green Drinks is happening today on the West Side!
The US Green Building Council’s (of which LA has a pretty active chapter) Sustainability Summit is happening next Friday!
Great discussions on local composting projects, green initiatives, etc., are happening on linkedin.
